Northwestern Ontario – where the land stretches far and the moose herds are healthy. This northern area of Ontario, has thousands of square miles of untouched wilderness where there are no roads, the only access is by airplane so there is very little hunting pressure on the moose population. The terrain of trees, rocks, water and swamp is natural moose habitat, a perfect place for Moose hunting at its best!

A Package for Everyone

Northumbrian Resort takes care of your hunting needs whether it be drive-in or fly-in. We have three different types of hunts:

A fly-in unguided, an American plan hunt and a hunt where you are 100% on your own. Hunting groups can drive-in and set-up at a campsite for their own private hunting adventure. Northumbrian provides adult moose tags and a mini land permit to hunt in the area. We have the most available adult tags in Northwestern Ontario.

Fly-in Hunting

Arrive via fly-in where the cabin and the flying are provided. With this option guests are required to purchase the tag and hunt at will with your group.

Moose Country!

American plan hunt, where guides, cooks, transportation service for the meet from camp to the resort is supplied. Transportation of the meat to the butcher shop is also provided upon request. Guests are to bring their own gear and purchase a tag.

Hunters should bring their old license for proof of previous hunting experience.
